Being pregnant has been quite the experience.  Overall, I have been very fortunate and there have been no serious complications – besides lack of sleep and sore joints.  It is so hard to truly describe what it feels like to have this little life in me – and maybe little is not the word to use any more.  This baby is getting bigger and stronger and likes to explore its surroundings – by kicking and pushing out.. Lately I have to keep my hand on my right upper side of my belly because the baby pushes out and wow – it hurts!

I wish Chris could experience the same feelings – to feel a child move inside of you – but then I guess I’m the lucky one who gets to keep the secret to myself.  It’s amazing to wake up and feel the baby starting to stir inside my belly – and to know it’s growing and that it’s safe.  There’s a part of me that wants to keep the baby inside my belly – where I can protect it and nurture it – but I know that the day will come when it will be here.  Life will never be the same…
