Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! (post Dec 28th)

Wednesday, December 28th, 2005

Chris and I had the opportunity to go to

Utah and spend the holidays with my side of the family.  Wish I could report that we had a white Christmas – but unfortunately the snow didn’t fall while we were there.  We had a great time with the family and it was a first Christmas for my nephew Nicolas.  It is amazing to think that next Christmas we will have our own little bundle of joy celebrating their very first Christmas – it is quite amazing.

Speaking of amazing – I started my third trimester this week! We are almost at 30 weeks along and less then 25% to go.  The baby is getting bigger and stronger – it is quite interesting to see my stomach move side to side when the baby turns or rolls around.  Feel like I have an alien in my belly!

From the Nelson family to your family – Merry Christmas!  May the holidays be full of blessings for you and your family and a new year full of good health! We are counting down the days until we welcome our newest addition – more details to come!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you and yours from Chris, Susan and TBD Nelson!

Doc’s appointment – 28 weeks

Tuesday, December 20th, 2005

I am happy to report that yesterday’s check up went well.  I had lab work done for diabetes and to see if I was anemic – both came back fine and I’m in the clear.  Baby’s heartbeat is  very strong and consistant and my tummy is popping out more and more.

7 months along today!

What a cutie!

Singing the Alphabet Song

Thursday, December 15th, 2005

So some friends of ours have a little girl that’s almost a year old.- they were telling us how they sang the alphabet song to the baby while it was still in the womb and how she can now sing it by herself!  We were very impressed.

So now, we sing the alphabet song, ‘Jesus loves me’ and more recently a bunch of christmas carols.

Isn’t that cool?

It MOVES! Aieee!

Monday, December 12th, 2005

Holy, SMOKES!  The baby is kicking RIGHT NOW and I can SEE Susan’s belly quivering with each blow!

SO CREEPY!  AND COOL!

Susan is squealing-

This totally rocks!

Baby won’t stop moving!

Friday, December 9th, 2005

This little baby of ours is quite an active thing!  My doctor suggested I count how many times it moves to ensure it moves at least 10 times within a 5 hour window.  My child is already an over achiever!  It likes to move at least 10 times per 1 hour.

Yesterday s/he had hiccups for 5 minutes solid and I could feel a slight constant thud on my right side – felt like it was dancing.

And So It Begins

Monday, December 5th, 2005

The baby has been kicking quite a bit of late.

After a particularly strong kick, Sue grunts there turns to me and says:

"Your baby has been acting up today, mister!"

Sheesh, the baby isn’t even out of the womb yet, but all of a sudden its ‘my‘ baby simply because its being a little stinker!
